Holiday Inn Express & Suites Amite by IHG

Would have given 5 but the ac kicking on kept waking us, and not just this holiday inn but all I've stayed in the doors slam shut so every time the person across the hall or next to you leaves or comes in SLAM!! Breakfast was good, and the temps were right. Bed was comfortable, and the front desk lady was very nice.

The only problem was the elevator was not working. I did ask for a disable room because of my legs need a walk in shower for safty. Luckily there had me on the first floor. If they hadn't I would have had go else where. They could have notified by text or email of the elevator problem before people arrived. Also in today's environment they could install some USB charging locations. None in our room. Many hotels have up graded by putting in lamps with charging plug. This is a needed covenants now doys.

We are more used to 4 star hotels. The rooms are nice and clean. Not much extra services, no on-site restaurant nor room service. Easy check-in. The vending machines do not work. But there is a Walmart down the street if you need to get water or snacks. Price is too high for the quality.

Was checked in by Ms. Betty and she was the best friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating . Breakfast was great and Danielle was great she informed of what was there to eat and showed us how to work the pancake machine. The room was clean and properly stocked. It was very nice at this Hotel.

The room was clean. The person at the front desk was very helpful and pleasant when we arrived. Even the breakfast was good. The reason I gave this hotel 4 stars is because we were unable to use the pool. It was very cold inside the room with the pool. A cold front came through and all of the windows were open. The water was also cold. However, I'd stay here again when visiting relatives in the area.

My family and I had to stay here for our son’s out of town wedding and we were super impressed. From the cleanliness of hotel, comfortable beds to the continental breakfast… it was ALL GOOD! The customer service was above par, as the front desk was always so accommodating and friendly, especially a sweet lady named Betty, I believe was her name! The location is very nice as well, there is a Walmart and great places to eat not far from hotel. I highly recommend this hotel, so much so, I decided to write a review!

We arrived around 3 a.m. on Friday and planned to stay until Sunday, but it was impossible to spend a second night. The hotel is very outdated, the carpets were dirty, and the entire place smelled like humidity. There was visible mold inside the sinks, and even the pillows had a damp odor. For the price $230 per night (and booked 2 rooms) this was unacceptable. I asked if I could be refunded for the second night so I could go somewhere else, but the front desk refused and made me feel like I was overreacting. I ended up leaving and booking another hotel. Definitely not what you expect from a Holiday Inn. The front desk manager from the night we arrived was kind, but bad customer service the next day.

I have been staying at this hotel off and on for two years now. I have to say the staff is some of the most friendly folks if have ever done business with. They treat you like family! Highly recommend this hotel!!
